Fly fishing is as much an art form as it is hunting. In art, some of the finest works are also the simplest. What I strive for as a guide is to reduce the hunt for trophy fish to its simplest form. The primary tool in my craft is a shallow drafting skiff and push-pole. What I seek in a perfect skiff is pure elegant simplicity. A skiff designed to eliminate complexity, and evoke the senses of the hunt. A skiff whose form follows function and therefore allows me to focus on the other elements of my art; the guide angler dynamic, the form of the cast and the patters of nature. In short, the most basic interactions that define the hunt and forge the art of fly fishing.
