I am a full time fishing guide specializing in light tackle shallow water fishing in Northeast Florida (Jacksonville, Amelia Island, and Ponte Vedra Beach areas). My focus has been the scenic backcountry of the Northeast Florida marsh and saltwater estuaries for the last 15 years, where I stalk popular saltwater game fish like Redfish, Speckled Sea Trout, Tarpon,Sheepshead, Black Drum and Flounder. When I am not guiding clients, I am scouting for tournament winning redfish. I enjoy competing on the IFA Redfish tour and The Florida Pro Redfish Series several times a year. I have had an opportunity to fish out many different skiffs but I chose the Beavertail Vengeance because of its ability make long dry tournament runs through the marsh or across open bays in all conditions, as well as pole extremely shallow and dead quite to spooky fish! The Beavertail Vengeance also allows me plenty of room and stability to guide up to 3 clients comfortably with plenty of storage for tackle, drinks and dry stuff! This skiff is a perfect blend of stability, comfort and shallow draft. Whether I am poling fly clients or sight fishing tournament winners, my Beavertail completely fits the bill!
